  • One of the most important elements determining the main character of the building is the stone-weighted material language used on the facade and the processing of this material with modern details. While stone surfaces stand out with their durability against time and the monumental effect they add to the space; the entrance element, supported by wooden and metal details, gives the building a strong welcoming axis. In particular, the geometric patterned surface rising on the entrance facade produces a perception that changes throughout the day with light and shadow interplays.

By evaluating the difference between the natural elevation and the road elevation, a second spatial layer was created in the lower elevation of the mosque. This lower volume is accessed from the outside by stairs, reflecting the principle of producing maximum usage area with minimum intervention in the land.

In general, the building has a "contemporary traditional" style that bears the traces of classical Ottoman and Seljuk architecture; but instead of repeating these references identically, it abstracts and reinterprets them with today's architectural understanding. In this respect, it establishes a strong bond with the past and presents a unique identity that adapts to the architectural language of its period.
